Santa Claus came to town

We went to the downtown tree lighting and to see Santa Claus come into town. Braxton got to see Santa at the City Park where they light the tree, but you could also sit on his lap at the library. So after he saw him at the Park we head to the library so he could sit on his lap, but the line was so long we told him he got to talk to Santa already. Braxton was a little upset and didn't want to go. As we were walking to the car Santa was walking to the library and he stopped and talked to Braxton and sat him on his knee and asked him what he wanted. He was lucky or should I say mom was lucky, he got some personal time with Santa and didn't even have to wait in line, Perfect timing.

Bailey was all smiles.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

We were pleasantly surprised to look out the window Sunday morning to see all the snow. It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Daddy went out to go shoveling and we decided get out in it too. Bailey's first time in the snow, she didn't quite know what to think, but thought it tasted good.

Too Cute!

I had to take these two pictures, because they were just too cute.

I always see pictures of other people's kids falling asleep in toys and high chairs, but never my kids they just cry till I get them out, well not this day. Bailey was fussing a little while I was trying cook the Thanksgiving pies and then all of sudden it was silent and I turned around and she had fallen asleep. Such the cutest thing when they are asleep.

My cute kids all snuggled up in a blanket.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. Doug started the day off by decorating the Drug Store and then playing a little football, while Braxton and I watched the Macey's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then we headed to my parent's house for our Thanksgiving feast. It was great to relax and mingle. Doug, Bailey and I even got a little nap in. That night we headed to the Smith household for some more good food and games. It was a great Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for.

My parents got this new table set I love how it looks and so much more room to seat everyone.

Sweet Cheeks

Our little sweet cheeks is 8 months old and she is growing like a flower. She doesn't see the doctor till next month, but these are some things she has been doing the last little while.
  • crawling (up the stairs too)
  • two bottom teeth
  • tilts her head to the side when she is flirting
  • blows when she is happy
  • if you put your hand over her mouth and pat it she will make the ahhh sounds
  • Loves people and kids
  • pulls her self up and stands next to furniture and walls.
  • is a wiggle worm

Love, love this little girl.

This is her blowing.

Showing off her bottom teeth.

Fall Leaves

I love this time of year, and the fall leaves, not so much the raking, but the holidays are always so much fun. We love Thanksgiving at our house, Doug especially. We are looking forward to spending time with the family, eating good food and relaxing. Maybe its my Dad in me, but I love the History behind Thanksgiving and I love teaching Braxton about it, so to celebrate the Thanksgiving season we raked some leaves and took pictures of him jumping in them. I also have this grass plant that I really love, Doug not so much he wants to cut it down, but it looks so neat in November. Its a November plant, so I took some pictures with the kids by it. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Time for baby gates

Well about two weeks after she started crawling, she started crawling up the stairs, and she is actually really good. Only a few tumbles down the stairs. I was not prepared for this, we didn't have stairs when Braxton started crawling. Now its time to get some baby gates. She is growing too fast.

Crawling

Bailey had been on the verge of crawling before we left for Vegas and I didn't want to miss her first crawl, but she was a good girl and waited for me to get back from Vegas, and the next day she started crawling. She also has two little bottom teeth. Now she is moving all over the place, time to get some baby gates.

She had to take a little rest.

This was the pre-crawling stage. She would get on her hands and knees and rock.

Halloween Festivities

We had a great Halloween weekend. We visited the Stringtown Nightmare Express, Braxton had a fun kindergarten Halloween Party, we carved our pumpkin, and had a great Halloween evening with family. Bailey was a good sport with her costumes. She had two different ones, so luckily we were able to use both of them, she was a cute chick and a ladybug and Braxton was the "Special" White Power Ranger.

Stringtown Nightmare Express
This was the first time going and we loved it and thought it was a great idea. The kids had so much fun. Bailey sported her cute chick costume, because she is one cute baby chick.

Kindergarten Halloween Party
It was fun to see all the kindergarteners in their costumes. I am one of the room mothers, so I will be seeing a lot more kindergarten parties.

Pumpkin Carving
The Losee family came over to help us carve pumpkins, and we had some pretty scary jack-o-laterns.

Braxton actually got his hands in the pumpkin and took the seeds and slimy out this year.

Gavin was all about taking the seeds and slime out.

All the adults carving the faces.

There's our other pumpkin sporting her jack-o-latern shirt and cute halloween bow, Camille's mom made.

Halloween Night
We stopped off at my parents house to show their costumes. Braxton our Power Ranger and Bailey our ladybug. She is at the stage where she moves so much it's hard to get a good picture. Then we headed to the Bullock home for some good food and Braxton took off with the cousins to go trick or treating.
