Avery's Baby Blessing

Avery was Blessed on March 4th, Doug gave her a beautiful blessing and she didn't cry during her blessing.  My mom knitted her blessing dress, it was very long and she was so beautiful in it.  I threaded a purple ribbon through it and made a flower to match.  We had a luncheon at our house afterwards, and with both our families it was a crowded house, we had about 70 people over to our humble abode, it was so fun to have our families with us on this special day.  We were able to visit and eat some good food.  It was such a wonderful day.
Now I think I am finally updated on the happenings of our little family. Hopefully I can stay on top of it.

Tulip Festival

We did our annual trip to the Tulip Festival, it was beautiful as always.  I love taking the kids here, there is so much room for them to run and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Bailey loved feeding the fish, but before she did, she thought their food was for her.

My mom in two casts, she broke her wrist on one hand and her elbow on the other.  She fell while at work, slipping on water.

New exhibit at the gardens, statues of Christ, it is really neat.
The kids favorite part at the end rolling down the hill.

My sweet Braxton

Grandma Spence

My Sweet Grandma passed away Easter Morning.  She came to live with my parents in August, because she could no longer take care of herself, and it was so nice to have her close by and get to spend these last eight months with her.  My kids loved to give her hugs and Bailey loved to talk her ear off.  My sisters and I were asked to speak at her funeral, I've never spoken at a funeral, so I was a little nervous, but also very honored to get to remember this sweet lady.  She will definitely be missed.

Easter

We started out celebrating Easter this year with of course coloring Easter eggs, then Saturday was our usual fun Easter activities, we went to the Easter egg hunt at Discovery Park, it is always so much fun, and then we have the Smith Annual Easter Picnic which is always such a blast getting to see everyone on the Smith side.
Easter was a little different this year, My sweet Grandma passed away Easter morning, it was sad to see her go, but what a wonderful day to pass away on.  It really helped us understand better the reason that we celebrate Easter, and I am so grateful for the understanding we have of the resurrection, knowing that we will see our loved ones again. It was a wonderful Easter.

We took a picture of the little girls last year and they were so much younger, now they are all growing up.
