Bear Lake Trip

We had a relaxing trip to Bear Lake last week, with my family. We stayed in my parent's condos. The Lake was such a beautiful blue and the weather was great. We had such an enjoyable time together, we swam in the pool, rode some fun Surray bikes, golfed on a beautiful golf course, played some tennis, and of course you can't go to Bear Lake without trying their famous Raspberry shakes. We had a very enjoyable time, Thanks Grandma and Papa!



Starting off our trip, Brynn, Gavin, Logan, Braxton and I went up a day earlier and dads came up the next day. The boys were so excited to have Uncle Bird sitting between them.

Grandma and Papa have their own bike together and Logan has his own pimped up bike.

We got the large Surray bike so we could fit four adults and the two little ones in front.

Logan was such a wild man with his bike, his chain came off three times during our bike ride.

You can't really guess who's birthday it is with all the kids wanting to blow out the candles. It was Alicia's birthday on July 10th. She is the big 30 this year. Happy Birthday Alicia!

I went golfing with the boys to a beautiful golf course, it had a great view of Bear Lake. It was so much fun golfing I need to do it more.

The kids had fun trying to play tennis, who am I kidding I am still trying to play tennis. Logan has started giving me tennis lessons so next year you will see me in the French Open, In my dreams.

and then it was time to clean up and head home. Picture taken by Braxton, there were many more, but I didn't think you wanted to see the floor. Now Doug, Braxton and I head to Florida in a week. We'll update you when we get back.

Summer Boo Boos

Braxton seems to get more boo boos in the summer than any other season, probably because he is outside running more and tripping over himself. His knees always seem to have a scrap somewhere on them. The last big boo boo was his eye. He was playing with Logan on my parent's trampoline and he fell on Logan's foot and sliced it. It took out a big chunk of his beautiful eyelashes too. It is all healed now, except for the eyelashes. What a boy!

Independence Day!

I Love the 4th of July, it is one of my favorite holidays! I love History and one of my favorite periods in History is the beginnings of the American Revolution. I would love to go back in time and see what it was like back then, when our country became a nation. I loved going to Washington D.C. last year and someday I will travel to Boston and see the historical sites.

Anyways enough about that, we had a wonderful 4th of July. It is my family's tradition to go to the Balloon Festival in Provo every year. We wake up bright and early to make it there by 6:30 A.M. so we can see the balloons filling up. Then we watch them take off. We eat breakfast while we wait for them to come back and throw their bean bags on the X in the middle of the field. It is such great family tradition. Later in the evening we celebrated with Doug's family with dessert and fireworks, as you will see Braxton has the Smith gene of being a pyro. It is so nice to get together and spend time with family. I hope all of you enjoyed Independence Day!



We have missed having Logan here to share in the celebration for the past two years and now he is back Yeah!
